An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking management accountant to join Birmingham Newman University, a student-centred University currently undergoing a period of transformation, business diversification and growth.
The successful applicant will build constructive working relationships with both University staff and external stakeholders on all levels, providing accurate and timely information to inform management decision making, as well as supporting the finance team in delivering a finance service including payroll, student finance, accounts payable/receivable together with management and financial accounting. The role will suit a team-player looking to broaden their experience and knowledge.
You will be CCAB qualified, numerate and articulate with a confident “can do” approach, have experience in a similar busy finance environment, have excellent IT skills including advanced Excel knowledge, possess good report writing skills and good interpersonal skills in liaison with all levels of personnel.
The successful applicant will have demonstrable, recent experience of working within a busy finance environment, be educated to GCSE standard (minimum of 4 GCSE’s including English and Maths) and possess excellent MS Office/Advanced Excel skills.
