Join us as a Technical Officer in Engineering to lead our structures lab and be part of Team Salford, and one of the UK’s fastest growing universities.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Technical Officer in Engineering to oversee our structures lab, supporting the continued growth of commercial testing in our heavy structures laboratory where we work in collaboration with industry partners on the testing, development, and solving of real-world industrial problems through the use of full-scale testing. In this role you will be an invaluable part of our Engineering team here at the University of Salford.

The University of Salford's heavy structures testing facility continues to grow from strength to strength, testing innovative structures in the purpose-built laboratories in our new, state-of-the-art Science, Engineering and Environment Building. We partner with a wide variety of companies ranging from blue chip corporations through to fresh new start-ups.

In this role you will lead our structures lab operations. You’ll be joining a well-established and successful team, and together with the senior leadership team of the School of Science, Engineering and Environment you will use your technical expertise and industry acumen to shape future strategy for this commercial department.

Salary is between £37,999 - £45,163, per annum
