About the role:
With the centenary of the discovery of penicillin by Sir Alexander Fleming fast approaching in 2028, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and a number of other public and private stakeholders are working collaboratively on The Fleming Initiative an exciting new venture to mark the occasion and to ensure that this discovery continues to be recognised and celebrated for many years to come.
In taking forward this inspiring venture, we are seeking an enthusiastic Project Manager to oversee all workstreams and ensure delivery of key milestones.
What you would be doing:
The successful post holder will support the strategic priorities already set out by the Trust and the College and lead on essential communications between various stakeholders going forward, ensuring the alignment of aims and coordination for planning.
They will communicate effectively in a front-facing capacity to encourage stakeholder engagement, advance opportunities for philanthropy and to raise the profile of the work of project more widely.
They will also think creatively, particularly regarding developing public interest and in devising coherent plans that not only fulfil the aims of the project in terms of marking the centenary but also that are supportive of patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) and of promoting public education in Antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
What we are looking for:
We are seeking candidates with experience of communicating and working at a senior level, to build relationships and promote an organisation, managing and delivering complex healthcare projects.
You will have experience of the oversight and efficient delivery of business plan activities, including financial considerations, and a thorough understanding of the research environment and context in which the centre works.
You will ability to lead decisively to proactively solve problems and enact decisions, whilst also taking into consideration the different opinions and needs of stakeholder groups, being capable of transitioning between ‘big picture’ and being across the detail as required.
