Christ Church invites applications for a fixed-term Stipendiary Lectureship in Modern European History.
This is a temporary, fixed-term position to fulfil a current teaching need arising from Dr Katherine Lebow’s sabbatical during the calendar year 2025, therefore, the appointment carries with it no expectation of permanent employment at Christ Church.
The successful candidate will deliver five hours of tutorial teaching per week, averaged over the three eight-week terms of each academic year. The Lecturer will be expected to act as a Personal Tutor for ca. 12 first-year undergraduates, and will also be expected to coordinate, set and mark College termly exams (Collections), monitor student progress, and writing termly reports on students.
This post is offered on a one year fixed-term temporary basis with a salary of £15,244 - £16,983 (current rates) per annum, according to qualifications and experience.
Further particulars, including instructions on how to apply, may be downloaded from https://www.chch.ox.ac.uk/vacancies. The deadline for applications is Monday 25 November 2024 at noon.
Christ Church is committed to equality, and we value the diversity of our staff and students. It is our policy and practice that entry into employment and progression within employment will be determined only by criteria which are related to the duties of a particular post and the relevant salary scale. No applicant or member of staff will be treated less favourably than another because of their age, disability, ethnicity, marital or civil partnership status, parental status, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
