About the Role:
We are looking for a Lecturer in Computing to join us at Central Bedfordshire College. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels
Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential
Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience
Teaching effectively on a range of courses recognising and meeting students’ individual needs
Preparing schemes of work which are up to date and fully meet the requirements of awarding bodies
Researching, developing and effectively implementing new learning materials in a variety of media to engage students in learning.
Undertaking course administration as necessary
About you:
Degree in Computing or related subject or considerable work experience in the field
Certificate in Education or equivalent in line with the Statutory Instrument or willingness to work towards
English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent
Ability to teach one or more of the following topics:
Knowledge of current developments in own specialist area
Recent experience of teaching in a UK school, college or university
Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
Experience of working constructively to achieve team objectives and deadlines
