Applications are welcome from legal scholars with teaching expertise and research interests, particularly in the area of International and European Intellectual Property Law but also in cognate fields of European or international technology law, including but not limited to European and international regulation of artificial intelligence, digital services and markets, and theories of regulating technology. The postholder will be required to deliver core intellectual property modules at undergraduate level; develop and deliver advanced postgraduate modules in intellectual property law and/or cognate subjects in technology law; and supervise students at undergraduate and masters levels.  S/he/they will be required to carry out administrative duties as directed by the Head of School and is/are expected to be research active.  This assistant professorship is a tenure track post.

Trinity’s Law School is the only Irish Law School to be ranked in the top-100 in both QS and THE rankings.  The School’s academic body currently comprises over 30 full-time and 22 part-time/adjunct members of staff.  The School seeks to complement its staff and develop additional strengths in the areas identified above to bolster its Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law LL.M. programme and expand the School’s growing expertise in intellectual property law and technology law and regulation, broadly defined.

Post status: Tenure Track - This position is Tenure Track position which is 5-years in the first instance, permanency is subject to satisfying the tenure requirements.

Salary: Appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor / Lecturer Full Salary Scale (€41,500 - €99,550 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
