Are you passionate about helping young people and their supporters reach their potential? The Cambridge Admissions Office is looking for a professional with experience in the education or charity sector to join the WP team. Our close-knit team coordinates a range of outreach projects designed to encourage and support underrepresented and less advantaged UK students to apply to top universities. In this role, you would be part of a national agenda to ensure that university places are open to all students, regardless of their background.

You will lead in coordinating at least one programme designed to inspire individuals from all backgrounds to view higher education as a viable option and to foster confidence and success in all prospective students. You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we consider our longer-term strategy, with plenty of opportunities for you to input into the programme design and delivery. You will be planning and delivering activities designed to develop key academic skills, like metacognition and self-efficacy, and to help students and their supporters explore different possibilities for the future and the pathways prospective students need to take to reach their goals.

You should have excellent communication skills, an ability to work with a diverse range of people and outstanding interpersonal and negotiating skills. We are looking for someone who has excellent IT skills, is self-sufficient and highly organised. In a dynamic workplace, you may end up working on different projects within the WP team so we are looking for someone who can be adaptable. You will also be expected to demonstrate the impact of your activities through rigorous evaluation. Weekend and evening work may be required on occasion, and you may be required to travel to locations within our target areas.

We have 'agile' working practices which will enable a degree of flexibility in where and how people work, in agreement with their line manager.
