Our dedicated Teaching Fellow team, based within PeoplesFuture Ltd, a sister company of Coventry University, are subject specialists focused on delivering student education, which is active, social, applied, and inclusive within our vibrant and varied education environment.
The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings alongside a large portfolio of CPD courses.
The Role
As an Assistant Teaching Fellow in Occupational Therapy you will support teaching, curriculum development, and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate teaching.
Assisting in teaching on modules and courses at Higher Education levels 4 - 6, you will deliver a variety of student learning sessions including small group teaching and marking and supporting students through both informal and formal communication, ensuring an effective learning experience.
This new post has been developed to support preparation for placement. You will work alongside an experienced placement team and support readying our learners for their practice placements including co-ordinating delivery of clinical skills training, placement preparation and reflection sessions.
Our Successful Candidate
You will have demonstrable experience of supporting learning within Occupational Therapy including practice based learning and informal settings with high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
You will be enthusiastic and self-motivated with experience supporting, enhancing and engaging in an ‘active learning’ pedagogy with evidence in proactively supporting success in learning.
A strong communicator with excellent digital skills, you will have experience using Aula or other forms of communication to deliver student communications, assurance of timely and accurate information and high standard teaching material. Experience facilitating excellent academic working relationships to foster student academic cohesion and a sense of academic community and belonging is required.
