The Aston School of Computer Science and Digital Technologies is looking for a Lecturer in Computer Science with a specific interest in Software Engineering to help reinforce its research and teaching in the area. You will be expected to teach across several areas of the computer science and/or cybersecurity curricula. A knowledge security aspects of software design and implementation would be an advantage.

The school is experiencing a period of growth in terms of research activity and student recruitment in the digital sciences: computer science, cyber security, artificial intelligence and data science. You will have an opportunity to carry out research either within the school’s environment, or within one of a number of research centres or institutes, depending on the candidate’s specific interests. Centres and institutes include the Sir Peter Rigby Digital Futures Institute (DFI) and the Aston Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research and Application (ACAIRA), but others may be of interest to specific candidates, who are encouraged to explore the University’s website for more information.
As successful candidate you will be expected to have an excellent research track record, commensurate with their career stage, and show signs of innovative and independent thinking. You will be encouraged to actively participate in the development of new and exciting curricula.
