The University of Salford is looking for a Project Coordinator!

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Curriculum Scheduling Project Coordinator!  We are in the early stages of a significant Curriculum Scheduling Programme comprising of 2 projects to implement a new Curriculum Management System which will manage the framework, processes, compliance and data for management of the programmes and modules at the University; and the implementation of a new state of the art timetabling system.

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in stakeholder engagement with a track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences. They will demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities and good initiative when managing complex situations.  Experience in a project-driven environment is essential, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and provide insightful analysis/ recommendations to senior leadership. Additionally, they may have experience presenting detailed reports for senior managers.

So what will you be doing? 

  • Playing a key role in the delivery of the Curriculum Scheduling Programme, transforming our capabilities and processes to manage the programmes and modules we teach, through to the scheduling of timetabled activities
  • Being part of an exciting transformation within IT through an agile product delivery model
  • Using your knowledge and experience to help drive continuous improvement in project delivery
  • Developing strong relationships with senior University stakeholders to deliver transformational changes to the business
  • Transforming the experience of our students and staff through implementation of new user focussed, best of breed, applications for key steps in the student journey
  • Contributing to our thinking and be challenging on how Salford can transform the way it addresses equity disparities, embraces diversity and becomes more inclusive

At the core, we provide IT services to the University’s students, academics and professionals, but the reality is we do so much more than that! We explore new technologies, we strive to innovate whilst all along, placing a strong focus around improving the customer experience.

The Digital Delivery team are responsible for the successful delivery of business change aligned to the University Strategy and digital vision. From the initial assessment through to implementation and closure, the team deliver change working in collaboration with business colleagues, third party suppliers and strategic partners. The team is made up of Programme Managers, Delivery Managers and Business Change Managers.
