The Centre for Medical Informatics at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a motivated individual to become a part of the Time Critical Precision Medicine for Acute Critical Illness Using Treatable Trait Principles (TRAITS) trial team. The investigator team aims to establish a data-enabled platform across the UK to facilitate efficient trial design.
The Opportunity:
This exciting opportunity will require the postholder to create data capture pipelines combined with linkage to routine data sources across the UK. The post holder will work with large amounts of highly complex confidential electronic health data, including high dimensional data from clinical information systems as well as linked data from routine data source held in NHS Scotland.
They will provide analytical expertise to the TRAITS team and liaise with trial sites to provide advice and support to establish and develop data pipelines. They will identify gaps in information, conduct analyses to interrogate and resolve issues and challenges with these real world datasets, combining information from different data sources. They will also be responsible for processing, maintaining and documenting the datasets, analytic approaches and algorithms.
Informal enquiries may be directed to Dr Annemarie Docherty, Wellcome Career Development Fellow and an Honorary Consultant in Critical Care (annemarie.docherty@ed.ac.uk).
