Oxford Department of International Development, Queen Elizabeth House, 3 Mansfield Road, Oxford OX1 3TB.
The Oxford Department of International Development (ODID) is seeking to recruit a Senior Programme Manager who will work as part of the SDG Impact Lab.
The SDG Impact Lab was created in 2021 to enable graduate students from Oxford University to collaborate with external partners to deliver the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It does this by selecting graduate students to participate in an innovative eight-week training programme followed by the opportunity to undertake a research project with one of our programme partners. Current and previous partners include easyJet holidays, BMW Group Oxford, Rosberg Philanthropies and the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.
This new role is an exciting opportunity to manage the delivery of our 2025 partnership programmes. It will involve working closely with both the partners and students to deliver high quality impact research projects.
The Senior Programme Manager will work under the direction of the Lab’s Chief Operating Officer and in consultation with the two Lab co-founders and directors. The role will also involve the supervision of Project Coordinators who will provide additional support for the student projects.
The successful candidate will have the ability to establish positive, collaborative working relationships, with evidence of managing senior level client relationships as well as developing a strong rapport with the Lab’s cohort of graduate Fellows. They will also have strong project management skills, including the ability to plan programme and project timelines and prioritise tasks, as well as coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders. As the Lab builds its network of partners, this role will also provide business development support to the senior management team, requiring strong communication skills and attention to detail when preparing proposals.
This post is offered full time (flexibility of 0.8 FTE depending on appointee’s availability) and fixed-term until 31 October 2025
