About the role

Teaching Assistants (TAs) will supplement academic lectures through the delivery of group teaching (for example, in seminars and workshops) and associated duties for students taking modules in the School of Management. Associated duties may include marking coursework and exams.

The post holder will report to the leader of the module/s they are supporting and the appointment will be available from 6^th January to 30^th June 2025.

About you

The successful candidate will need to evidence the following in their application:

• Educated to Masters level, or have equivalent qualifications or professional qualifications and experience, in a Management related field relevant to the course modules you are interested in
• Understanding of how cognitive psychology and neurology influence learning processes
• Ability to promote and facilitate critical analytical thinking skills
• Experience in managing group dynamics and effectively addressing student queries in a collaborative setting
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office software including Word, Excel, email, and the internet
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing (including accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation), with students, academic and administrative staff at all levels
• Excellent organisational, and time management skills and keen attention to detail
• Commitment to providing dedicated office hours for additional coursework support and student guidance
• Ability to prioritise and organise own workload and time-critical schedules working independently or as part of a team
