About the role
The University is seeking to appoint a PA to the Director within the Advancement Office. The team has recently undertaken significant growth and this position will play an important role in contributing to the ambitious plans for supporter engagement and philanthropy at Bath, working within a supportive, friendly and dedicated team.
The Advancement Office is responsible for building long-term, impactful relationships with the University’s alumni, friends and supporters. We support a network of over 150,000 University of Bath alumni across 170 countries, as well as our wider community of supporters who generously give their time, expertise and philanthropy to the University.

The post holder will be primarily responsible for providing a proactive, comprehensive, and efficient level of administrative support to both the Director of the Advancement Office and the wider department.
The role is offered on 0.6 FTE part time, fixed term basis working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The personal assistant aspect of the role involves dealing with a wide range of matters, sometimes of a confidential nature, on behalf of the Director and other members of the department. To be successful, the post holder will work with initiative and discretion, and will develop and maintain effective working relationships staff across the Advancement Office and the University as well as with other external contacts.
The Personal Assistant will also provide support for the wider Department, notably acting as first point of contact for calls and emails from the University’s alumni and supporters, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered at all times.
