Under the leadership of Gabriela Kramer-Marek, we are seeking to appoint a Higher Scientific Officer to join her group in order to manage studies relating to targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) in both in vitro and in vivo models of glioblastoma.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate must have, M.Sc. of PhD in a relevant biological science, Knowledge of glioblastoma biology, Experience in molecular and cell biology techniques (e.g. DNA/RNA purification, confocal microscopy, FACS analysis, Western blotting, IHC), Good verbal and written communication skills, including good presentation skills.
Department/Directorate Information
The Division of Radiotherapy and Imaging is investigating new imaging methods to diagnose cancer, and ways in which advances in technology and molecular biology can improve radiation treatment. It is also increasingly concerned with the use of imaging to evaluate the response to treatment in vivo, through techniques measuring aspects of tumour biology.
Preclinical Molecular Imaging Group focuses on development of innovative preclinical imaging biomarkers for non-invasive and real-time mapping of specific proteins involved either in early tumour cell response or de novo resistance to new treatment combinations, with an emphasis on targeted cancer therapies and immunotherapies.
