The University of Bath is seeking to recruit a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) to join the team of highly qualified, experienced practitioners working in the university’s Therapeutic Service.

The role offers a great opportunity to work in an established, respected, & well-used service which is part of the Student Support & Safeguarding Department. 

About us

Our experienced clinical team comprises of practitioners working with a wide range of presentations, including complex trauma, complex mental health (eg OCD, phobias, social anxiety, health anxiety, Disordered Eating). The team offers a range of theoretical orientations, (psychodynamic, solution focussed, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems), providing free and confidential brief counselling interventions for students studying at the university and out on placement. 

About you

You must have completed a post-graduate level counselling qualification and hold current professional registration accreditation with one of the following bodies: BACP, UKCP, BABCP, BCP, or as a clinical or counselling psychologist with BPS. Please note these are essential requirements of the post.

You must also have demonstrable post-qualification experience of delivering time-limited interventions to clients experiencing a range of presenting difficulties, including working with complex trauma.

It is vital that you can work with patience, tolerance and sensitivity, and maintain a non-judgemental approach when working with students from a diverse, wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

This is a part-time role, working 29.2 hours (4 days per week).
