Background information

S4S (UK) Ltd, began in 2005 as Solutions 4 Snoring Ltd, quickly then diversifying into multiple areas of dental technology, hence the re-naming to S4S.

Since inception, S4S has become one of the leading dental laboratories in the UK, specialising in Orthodontics and Splint Technology.

The company proudly services over 29,000 Dental professionals across the UK as well as some overseas business.

S4S are recognised as the largest dental laboratory in respect to the volume of 3D scan files they process daily, meaning this project sits right at the heart of their core operation. The efficient and optimal use of 3D content manufacturing is a significant concern.

S4S is looking to secure and develop its market position through innovation initiatives including this Knowledge Transfer Partnership.

S4S is a completely independent business, where all the Directors / shareholders are former employees. This gives an excellent opportunity for an applicant to make a huge impression on the key stakeholders of the business.

The School of Computing and Digital Technologies in Sheffield Hallam University has over 100 members of staff with applied research strengths in several areas including: AI, Cyber security, Robotics, Games and IoT.  The school has a strong track record of supporting regional business through a variety of schemes.
