About the role

The appointed person will be based in the centralized Glass-washing, Media Production, and Scientific Waste Service (MGSL) and will work across two laboratories: Glass Wash and Biological Waste, with the primary focus on processing biological waste. The post holder will also support other MGSL team members with the Media Production service. This role includes a variety of duties to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the laboratory facilities. 

This full-time permanent post.

The actual starting salary offered will be based on qualifications and relevant skills acquired and will also be determined by the funding available.

About you 

The postholder should understand basic techniques used in a biological laboratory, with an ability to accurately and regularly follow predetermined protocols. You should be able to work with minimal supervision, as well as being able to support team members. The post requires manual dexterity with a reasonable level of physical fitness. IT skills are also essential.
