In this rewarding post, you would lead and manage the College’s Supported Internship programme, which will provide on-site practical work training at the Skyline Sheraton Hotel, Heathrow, for young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The aim of the programme is for the learners to progress into paid work, and develop transferable skills, knowledge and attitudes in readiness for paid employment.
You will have overall responsibility to plan, develop, co-ordinate, and deliver a holistic curriculum programme.Working closely with Job Coaches and other staff, you will ensure trainees are able develop and progress their skills on all aspects of the programme.
You will need to possess a degree or relevant professional qualification and have experience of working with SEN students in an educational setting. You will have the ability to plan and develop an engaging curriculum for learners with a broad range of complex needs, and have a good understanding of employability skills. A confident communicator, able to build good working relationships with students and the team, you will also have the ability to deliver student-centred sessions. You will also be well organised with good administrative and IT skills.
