Are you interested in joining the number one University in Greater Manchester for student satisfaction?
Here at the University of Bolton, we are proud of our growing reputation as a student focussed University. With our strategy of “Teaching Intensive, Research Informed” we are committed to offering our students the best experience possible.
The University has been awarded funding to support the development of and increase enrolment on level 6 apprenticeships, and to develop and deliver a new 'Entry to HE Apprenticeship Programme' (EHEAP) starting in spring 2025.
The new Outreach Practitioner post holder will undertake crucial outreach work to identify the barriers that exist for disadvantaged members of the local community, and care experienced people, and ways in which these might be overcome, in order for them to successfully complete an entry to HE apprenticeship programme, and progress to a level 6 apprenticeship.
They will work with internal project managers and external stakeholders to enable potential students in areas of deprivation, or those who are care experienced, to have improved access to education, employment and training, experience stability in their lives and feel safe and secure, receive improved access to health support, and achieve financial stability, all of which will be the result of accessing higher education study.
Experience of managing projects and working independently would be advantageous, along with a driving license, as the role will involve travelling to and from external stakeholder premises.
