About this role
We are seeking to appoint a permanent post as Senior Lecturer in Aviation Management, to help develop and contribute to teaching, research, and knowledge exchange within the School of Engineering.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to shape multidisciplined Aerospace and Pilot Studies education. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering cutting-edge courses in Aviation management related modules on the Aerospace Engineering and Pilot Studies Programmes, providing mentorship to students, and contributing to research initiatives. We are particularly interested in candidates who not only possess a strong academic background but also have practical experience or experience in collaborating with or working with the Aviation industry. Additionally, we appreciate expertise in broader related areas such as safety management, security, initial and continuing airworthiness.
Furthermore, individuals with a research-oriented mind-set will have the opportunity to explore their passions in Aerospace and Aviation, contributing to scholarly activities. About you
We require candidates that have a diverse skill set and is well-versed in guiding students through the core concepts of Aviation Management within the context of Aerospace engineering. Specifically, we are looking for individuals with aviation industry experience, particularly in safety management, security, initial and continuing airworthiness. We highly value candidates who have a background and knowledge that can help develop our aspiring student engineers.

Candidates should have, or near completion of, postgraduate qualification in in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation, Management, or a related discipline. If from a professional practice/industry background, successful applicants will have a qualification equivalent to degree level (or above) together with relevant professional experience within the Aerospace and Aviation sector. A teaching qualification and experience of teaching in higher education is advantageous.
