An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Study Manager in the Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit (CEU). The CEU, directed by Professor John Danesh, is an internationally recognised interdisciplinary group for the study of the causes and prevention of cardiovascular disease. It is part of the Department of Public Health and Primary Care, one of Europe's leading academic departments of population health sciences.
CEU is highly distinctive for conducting large-scale, collaborative research projects. In the last five years, we have secured >£50million in funding from more than 80 grants and have published over 400 publications. In the past ten years, CEU has led various observational studies and trials and recruited almost 2 million participants into these. We are actively expanding and developing new studies and trials.
The Senior Study Manager is responsible for designing and directing the CEU's portfolio of studies and trials, which is a crucial strategic role.

The postholder will have exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a dedicated research coordination team, as well as strong communication and relationship-building experience engaging with diverse stakeholders (internal, national and international). The studies will be delivered under the supervision of the Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and Donor Health.
This position is full time and is available up to 30 November 2027 in the first instance.
