The School of Life Sciences (SLS) seeks an outstanding biomedical laboratory-based scientist investigating aspects of human host-pathogen relationships in the area of bacteriology or virology. Applicants with interests in the immunological response to host pathogen reaction are encouraged to apply as well as wider aspects of the host-pathogen relationship. Candidates are expected to have a well-defined future research programme that is, or has the potential to be, funded by major UK and international funders such as MRC, BBSRC and Wellcome Trust. The successful candidate will be based in the School of Life Sciences at the Gibbet Hill campus of the University of Warwick and have complementary to one or more of the School’s research clusters as well as seek collaboration and interaction with other research centres across campus and wider afield. Candidates with interests in diseases that require access to Class II or II pathogens are invited and will be supported by recent investments in required facilities.
