32 hours per week, 39 weeks per year to cover term times - fixed term post until July 2025
Our Foundation section delivers a range of courses to Entry level students including those with learning difficulties and disabilities and some with challenging behaviour. Courses aim to prepare and support students for appropriate employment opportunities and independent living.
We are seeking to appoint a Job Coach, who will enhance the work related aspects of the curriculum by establishing effective links with employers and support students on supported internships. Courses aim to prepare and support students for appropriate employment opportunities and independent living. You will prepare and support students to successfully participate in these placements, both in the workplace and in College, and enable future progression into employment. In addition you will perform duties of a Learning Support Assistant as and when required.
Together with your experience of supporting learners with learning difficulties and disabilities, you should have good organisational skills and will also have an understanding of the skills required for the workplace, and the ability to prepare learners for employment.
