About the Job

The lecturer's/ senior lecturer’s role involves teaching multiple sessions weekly, utilising digital platforms, and ensuring student engagement. Responsibilities include assessment, addressing academic misconduct, contributing to program evaluations, and participating in quality assurance. Additional duties encompass mentoring, project management, proposing module developments, and engaging in scholarship activities. Collaboration with support staff and reporting to boards are crucial. The role is comprehensive, requiring adaptability, collaboration, & a commitment to enhancing the overall learning experience, as well as fulfilling any other duties required by the programme leader, dean of campus and/ or chief academic officer.

 About You

The ideal candidate must have an essential Master's degree and desirable qualifications, including a PhD/ ProfDoc (or near completion), membership in a professional body, and teaching qualifications like QTS or HEA fellowship. Essential expertise in specified business and management areas, understanding of UK Higher Education landscape, and awareness of achieving high B3 statistics and NSS results are required. Desirable qualifications include hands-on experience with technical innovation, teaching at higher education level, and experience in a non-traditional/mature student environment. Essential skills encompass organisational and crisis management, problem-solving, communication, and comprehensive understanding of regulatory bodies. Behavioural attributes include commitment to a student-centred approach, robust leadership, high ethical standards, resilience, and alignment with the college's core values. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable expertise in one or more of the following business and management areas: business & climate change, entrepreneurship, sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), event/ tourism management, leadership and organisational behaviour, data analytics and business intelligence, digital transformation, global business and international management, Human Resource Management (HRM), strategic management, project management, marketing, behavioural economics, financial management & FinTech.
