About the Role

This is a new role created to reflect the development and restructuring of Strive Higher as it continues to grow. The evolution of the business means the role holder will need to work alongside both the CEO and Founding Partner to establish and embed ways of working to: 

  • Maximise the value of our CEO and Founding Partner’s time on a day-to day basis 
  • Act as a conduit between our CEO, Founding Partner and the team and our clients when needed  
  • Allow our CEO and Founding Partner the space to take the business forward  

The main areas of responsibility are:  

  • Complex diary management 
  • Relationship management 
  • Knowledge management 
  • Communications 

About You

The role holder should have experience of working in or with the Higher Education sector, be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, be responsive, intuitive, creative and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.  

 The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of providing high-quality administrative support in a high-pressure environment, showing ability to prioritise and coordinate workstreams to deadlines
  • Experience of communicating with senior stakeholders both verbally and in writing
  • Experience of online research and organising and collating a range of information from different sources in a logical, structured manner
  • Excellent attention to detail in the design and proofreading of any outputs or communications with our clients
  • Ability to manage competing demands on own and others’ time, working effectively to manage and deliver to stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to analyse problems and work around obstacles, offering a range of appropriate solutions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Calm and flexible approach to work

Pay and Conditions

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week).  Strive Higher offers its team a level of flexibility to enable everyone to bring their very best to work and home so will explore any pattern of work that meets business needs. 

Our team all work remotely with occasional requirement to attend meetings in central London or client meetings on their sites across the UK.  Adequate notice will always be given. 

We offer a salary of between £38,000 to £50,000 (depending on experience), a bonus scheme which is dependent on company performance over the course of a year and an employer pension contribution of 6% of salary.  We also offer 25 days annual leave, closure days between Christmas and New Year Bank Holidays and provide for special leave and flexible working arrangements, subject to company policy.  Eligibility to work and live in the UK is essential.
