Corvinus University of Budapest has over a 100-year-old history and is one of the leading universities in Hungary in Business and Management, Economics, and Social Sciences.

We have around 11,500 students, of which, approximately 2,000 are international.

We are located in a stunning UNESCO Heritage building overlooking the Danube River, in the heart of Budapest.

Corvinus University of Budapest is seeking a forward-thinking individual to take on the role of Head of Alumni. This role is essential in fostering a vibrant and engaged alumni community.

Overall purpose of the position

As the Head of Alumni, you will oversee a wide range of initiatives aimed at keeping alumni connected with each other and with the university. You will create platforms for meaningful interaction, offer professional development opportunities, and ensure that alumni continue to be a valuable part of the university community.

About the role

  • Alumni Engagement: Develop and execute innovative strategies to engage alumni through social events, mentorship programs, and professional networking opportunities.
  • Online Community Management: Collaborate in the creation and management of digital platforms that foster interaction and facilitate knowledge exchange among alumni.
  • Career Development: Collaborate in the implementation of programs that offer alumni access to career resources, including professional workshops and webinars.
  • Mentorship Programs: Collaborate in fostering relationships between current students and alumni through structured mentorship opportunities that promote career guidance and personal development.
  • Event Organization: Plan and host reunions, themed gatherings, and social events aimed at cultivating a sense of belonging within the alumni community.
  • Alumni Achievements: Showcase alumni successes by sharing their stories across university platforms, encouraging pride in the Corvinus alumni network.
  • Communication and Outreach: Maintain regular communication with alumni, keeping them informed about university news, upcoming events, and milestones. 

What you will bring to the role

  • University degree and ideally at least 8-10 years of professional working experience.
  • Proven experience in alumni relations, compliance with data protection regulations and team leadership is essential
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Passion for fostering alumni connections and contributing to the long-term success of the university.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of new/improved procedures and/or policies.
  • Ideally you have knowledge and experience of the Higher Education sector
