Corvinus University of Budapest has over a 100-year-old history and is one of the leading universities in Hungary in Management, Economics, and Social Sciences.

We have around 11,500 students, of which, approximately 2,000 are international.

We have been granted accreditation by EFMD and EAPAA and we are the only Hungarian business university to have two international institutional accreditations by AACSB and AMBA. Additionally, we are members of several international networks such as CEMS, BSIS, PRME and CFA.

We are looking for an Accreditation Manager for a full-time (40 hours/week) to join the engaged and cooperative team at the Corvinus University of Budapest.

Overall Purpose of the position

The post holder is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership through the successful delivery of accreditation activities.

Collaborating effectively with professional bodies and working closely with academic and professional service staff across the University, the Accreditation Manager will build the current portfolio of accreditations and will oversee and ensure the effective delivery of all activities in relation to future accreditation processes. S/he will take particular responsibility for leading and coordinating the plans to obtain and maintain ‘triple crown’ accreditation in terms of EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA. 

Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing multiple accreditation projects, monitoring their progress
  • Liaise with accrediting bodies to organize accreditation visits and events
  • Gathering data, checking accuracy and compiling reports and statistics as required to inform the accreditation process, working with key leaders in the Academic area and professional services
  • Act as point of expertise on matters relating to accreditation from accrediting bodies, University bodies and externals
  • Represent the University at accreditation related conferences and networking events
  • Keep up to date with international developments in relation to accreditation to inform best practice
  • Managing the University’s accreditation budget ensuring that the appropriate level of expenditure is requested and that spend is monitored in conjunction with the Finance team
  • Design accreditation guidance and policies on accreditation standards, policies and requirements
  • Maintaining an annual timetable for accreditation and ensuring that processes are in place to meet deadlines and make submissions on time 

What will you bring to the role?

  • Degree level education, preferably in business administration / economics or law
  • Ideally minimum 5 years’ proven experience in higher education or in the field of accreditation
  • An excellent understanding of quality assurance processes relevant to Higher Education and the ability to successfully apply this in support of accreditation bids
  • Experience and understanding of EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA accreditations and their processes
  • Proven and extensive high-level administrative experience in a challenging and complex role, with high level of organisational and administrative skills and the ability to manage a varied workload with competing deadlines
  • Experience of managing multiple high-quality projects to a clear and successful conclusion
  • Impeccable standards of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail, including the ability to check and interpret large amounts of data
  • Demonstrable experience in internal communication, networking and collaborative working
  • Fluent, concise and accurate report writing skills in English
  • Experience working with University databases
  • Proven IT skills, including intermediate/advanced Excel
  • Knowledge of international higher education, with particular emphasis on international higher education quality development practices
  • Good problem solution skills
  • Knowledge of additional statistical or data management software is an advantage
  • High quality written communication skills, to secure homogeneous across self-accreditation chapters
  • Ability to supervise a small team of dedicated colleagues involved in the accreditation process
