About the Role
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to the role of Faculty Executive Assistant and Office Administrator in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. This role provides proactive, effective and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the Faculty’s Leadership and Senior Management Team (Deputy Vice Principal and Faculty Deans, as assigned) ensuring they are always fully briefed and prepared in the execution of their duties.
As well as encompassing the traditional responsibilities of an Executive Assistant role, managing complex diaries and handling a number of competing priorities, the post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with other team members within the Faculty Office to deliver daily support for key operational areas assisting in the smooth and effective running of Faculty operations. This role will involve working with a range of stakeholders across the Faculty and the broader University, in particular the Faculty Deans and Deputy Deans for International, Research and Education, Academic Lead for EDI, the HR and Finance Business Partners and Professional Services colleagues in the Office of the Principal. The post holder will also liaise with a wide range of people at all levels both internal and external to QMUL and will be expected to represent the Faculty Office and the University in a professional, efficient, welcoming and courteous manner.
The successful candidate will be proactive in providing high quality administrative support, will have excellent communication and IT skills, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months, with the potential to become permanent subject to funding. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £39,065-£43,305 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
