The ICMA Centre is the finance department within the triple-accredited Henley Business School. We celebrated our 30th anniversary of the centre in April 2022 and the centre was built thanks to generous funding provided by the International Capital Market Association, whose mission is to “promote resilient well-functioning international and globally coherent cross-border debt securities markets, which are essential to fund sustainable economic growth and development.”
Members of the finance group have published in leading academic journals including Nature, Management Science, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Journal of Corporate Finance, British Journal of Management and the Journal of Banking and Finance. We offer a diverse range of undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes in many areas of finance, including specialized programmes such as the MSc Climate Change, Sustainable Business and Green Finance, and the MSc Finance & Financial Technology. We also have a vibrant community of excellent PhD researchers.
We seek to appoint an outstanding Associate Professor of Finance. Candidates should have a PhD in finance (or related subject) and have a teaching qualification (e.g. FHEA). Candidates should be able to demonstrate their experience and ability to publish in top level journals, as well as have experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. We are particularly interested in applicants whose work has an impact on wider society from any specialism, but in line with university and school priorities, we especially welcome candidates with an interest in sustainable/climate finance or fintech, although all areas of finance will be considered.
Closing date - 20th January 2025
Interview date - 7th February 2025
