We are seeking a passionate and experienced Plumbing and Heating Lecturer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our students.

About the role

As a Plumbing and Heating Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in delivering and developing full-time courses in plumbing and heating. You will be responsible for planning and using a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning techniques to ensure our students receive the best education and support.

Day-to-Day Requirements

  • Deliver high-quality teaching to levels 1 and 2 in plumbing and heating.
  • Develop and prepare learning materials and resources.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support.
  • Engage in curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with the Construction team to enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Participate in professional development activities and stay updated with industry trends.
  • Support students’ personal development and career progression.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant qualifications in Plumbing and Heating (L3)
  • Assessor qualification or willingness to work towards one within an agreed timescale.
  • Teaching and Internal Verifiers qualifications are desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the construction industry.
  • Passion for innovation and embedding new technologies into the learning environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
