Birmingham Newman University is growing and we are seeking a Student Recruitment Officer to support in delivery of the UK student recruitment and marketing strategy. The role is at the heart of our team and works to develop external relationships with a portfolio of target schools and colleges and other agencies, and supporting the delivery of on-campus and off-campus recruitment events and activities to drive applications to the University.
The post holder will build relationships both internally and externally with schools and colleges, fair providers, our academic faculties and schools and wider agencies to design and deliver recruitment activities aligned to institutional targets and reputational strategy. They will act as a brand ambassador for Birmingham Newman University delivering presentations and workshops to support progression into our portfolio of courses across all levels of our provision.
The post holder will need to have experience of working in a similar role, ideally within education, with strong verbal and written skills and experience of public speaking and delivering presentations/workshops. The role requires strong organisational skills and individual agency to manage workload and proactively support the delivery of recruitment activities. An understanding of higher education admissions is desirable.
A willingness and ability to work flexibly and travel are fundamental to this position.
