We seek a highly motivated molecular life scientist researcher to quantitively dissect mechanistic steps in protein synthesis initiation on mRNAs. The position is one of two roles and will involve the use of a wide-range of molecular and cell biological approaches including cell fractionation and mass-spectrometry based quantitative proteomics techniques to quantify various critical protein and protein/RNA complexes needed to synthesize proteins in eukaryotic cells. The project will require combined wet-lab work and experience in computational data analysis. The project will use the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as an experimental model relevant to all eukaryotic systems.
Applicants should have a PhD (or equivalent) in a biological science and a strong background in proteomics and computational analyses as detailed in the further particulars. Please apply online, include a full CV and ensure prior experience and suitability for the role are clearly evidenced.
