The laboratory of Dr. Wolfram Gruhn at the University of Warwick is inviting applications for a postdoctoral position focused on uncovering the molecular mechanisms driving human germline development.
In this project, the successful candidate will utilize the latest CRISPR technologies and human embryonic stem cell models to study the development of primordial germ cells in vitro. The research aims to identify gene regulatory networks mediating germline development, with a particular emphasis on deciphering the mechanisms that regulate epigenetic remodeling in the human germline.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art stem cell research facility located at the Clinical Science Research Laboratories (CSRL) on the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) campus. Additionally, the project will be supported by facilities at the Gibbet Hill campus of the University of Warwick including the Bioinformatics Research Technology Platform (RTP) and advanced microscopy facilities providing state-of-the-art experimental support and training opportunities.

If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure. Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure.
