The Department
The Volunteering Team is part of the Careers and Volunteering Service, whose role is to help students gain skills and experiences which enrich their lives and lead to success both before and after graduation. The team sits within Student Services, a cross-disciplinary team that plays a crucial role in supporting our students.

The Role
To work with the University of West London Volunteering Service in engaging students and graduates to support them in volunteering activities and projects to increase their confidence and employability skills. Working with community volunteering groups to source opportunities and develop projects for students to take part in and facilitate and oversee the delivery of these volunteering projects in the community.
The successful candidate will proactively lead, develop, and maintain partnerships with organisations and embed the University in the local community. They will act as the first point of contact for organisations local and national who wish to recruit UWL students as volunteers and demonstrate good practice in volunteering within the local community.
In collaboration with the volunteering and civic engagement manager develop initiatives in volunteering and civic engagement that follow best practice and are sector leading. To find opportunities for UWL students to use their wide range of skills for the benefit of the community. To market the Volunteering Service and volunteering to UWL students. To lead and develop the one-off volunteering programme with not-for-profit organisations and students.
The Person
You must have an undergraduate degree or equivalent, have excellent IT skills, including the ability to use databases and social media, and be able to collaborate with third sector organisations, establishing and keeping clear boundaries.

This is a campus-based role, split across the Ealing and Brentford sites.
