We are seeking a motivated and proactive Personal Assistant (PA) who will be part of a professional team that works collaboratively to ensure that all members of the senior Research & Innovation management team are constantly supported to a high level. You will primarily support the Nexus Director providing a high level of administrative support in an independent and self-managed capacity. You will also work with the wider Research & Innovation Service leadership team and Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation in delivering higher level projects and meetings.
You will have substantial experience as a PA to senior management and possess excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. You will be a strong team player and have the ability to exercise initiative and work independently. Diplomatic and discreet in approach, you will be skilled at managing a complex workload accurately, including electronic diary and correspondence management.
You will have experience of working with external partners with an understanding of the importance of these key relationships. Handling multitudes of information and assessing priorities is a vital part of this role, and as such you will be highly organised, focused on efficiency and have a strong sense of priorities.
Some work requires independent decision making while other areas need teamwork and collaboration – you will be equally comfortable working in either situation.
