This is a fixed term appointment until September 2025
The Department of Economic History is inviting applications to the post of Operations Assistant. The candidate will work as part of a small Professional Services Staff Team (PSS) and will support the day to day operational activities of the department.
The post holder will work closely with the PSS team and Faculty to facilitate smooth day-to-day running of the department. Operating in a courteous and responsive office environment with a strong focus on client service, the post holder will help to deliver support to Departmental staff, students and visitors. The post holder will assist with the Department’s day to day operations including financial processing, maintaining and ordering department supplies and assisting with departmental events and parties.
Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with a range of colleagues. Relevant experience of working in and administrative role in Higher Education is desirable.
