Applications are invited for a 0.5 FTE Funding Programmes Administrator to work in the Postgraduate Education and Clinical Academic Training section in the School of Clinical Medicine. This position is to provide maternity cover for a maximum of 1 year or the return of the post-holder, whichever is the earliest.
The successful applicant will work with the Funding Programmes Manager in the management of several postgraduate student funding programmes managed within the School. The funding programmes cover a range of cross Department and School areas and are high profile both within, and external to, the School.
This is a varied and challenging role that gives an opportunity to work on the operational delivery of several different funding programmes, including:
- recruitment of new students for the programmes (planning, advertising, shortlisting, interview and awarding of places),
- liaison and communication with Departments, University areas and other internal and external stakeholders including the provision of data, information, advice and guidance,
- communication and support for current students,
- maintenance of records and data on the students and programmes including the analysis and provision of management information, advice, guidance and recommendations based on the data,
- planning, organisation and delivery of training and other events related to the programs,
- organising meetings and events,
- helping develop bids for new or continuation of existing programmes including liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
The successful applicant will have excellent operational and administration abilities and will be fully familiar with modern communication and data management technologies (experience of Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Zoom etc).
