We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join a research group focussed on studying learning and decision-making in humans and machine learning systems led by Prof Chris Summerfield.
The post-holder will have responsibility for carrying out rigorous and impactful research in to learning processes using modelling with neural networks and / or behavioural experiments involving human participants. They will provide guidance to less experienced members of the research group and participate in the dissemination of research outputs by writing publications, giving talks at workshops and conferences, and engaging in outreach activities involving the wider public.
This is a fixed term post for two years in the first instance, with the possibility of renewal.
The successful candidate will have completed, or be close to completing, a PhD/DPhil in a relevant discipline in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, machine learning or a closely related field with previous experience of collecting and/or analysing behavioural and/or neural data from human participants. You will have a demonstrable track record of research productivity, strong quantitative and programming skills along with excellent communication skills and a collaborative outlook, including a willingness to help other lab members on ongoing projects, and help foster good communication within the lab.
