Are you passionate about enhancing student assessment experiences through innovative digital solutions? We are seeking a Learning Technology Consultant to join our Libraries Learning Technology team. Libraries is a diverse department, physical library spaces, and collections, but also service delivery and development of the University's online teaching and learning systems. This role offers an opportunity to impact the University's assessment practices, directly contributing to improved student outcomes and satisfaction.

You will be based on our University Park campus (in Nottingham) but may occasionally need to visit one of our other Nottingham sites. 

What you will do

  • Conduct in-depth discovery to uncover underutilised features in Moodle and other learning systems that can revolutionise our assessment and feedback processes.
  • Explore third-party extensions and tools to diversify and enrich our assessment feedback mechanisms, making them more accessible and impactful for students.
  • Collaborate with academic staff and professional services to streamline assessment workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Align technological solutions with our newly developed Assessment Framework to ensure a cohesive and forward-thinking approach to student evaluation.
  • Champion the integration of assistive technologies to make our assessment processes more inclusive and user-friendly.

The ideal candidate

  • Expert knowledge of digital learning pedagogies and their application in Higher Education
  • Expert knowledge working with Virtual Learning Environments, particularly Moodle
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language
