About the role
The Blavatnik School of Government is looking for a Communications and Social Media Officer to join our External Relations team.
Reporting to the Media and Communications Manager, the successful candidate will lead on the management of the School’s social media platforms, including marketing activity to deliver recruitment campaigns for degree programmes. They will create compelling written profiles and spotlights of students and alumni for the School website, and project manage the Kyoto Prize at Oxford.
The contract is permanent.

Equipped with outstanding communications and writing skills, an interest in topical issues, and a sharp intellect, the successful candidate will play a critical role in promoting the School’s thinking, people and stories to a range of audiences, and in doing so help fulfil our mission.
You will be a gifted storyteller, able to creatively communicate the extraordinary and innovative work of the School and of the inspirational people in our global community. Highly collaborative, you will be a self-starter with experience of fast-moving and demanding environments, a proven team player, and possess a flexible and can-do attitude. You will also undertake day-to-day administrative tasks, so willingness and diligence in the face of routine duties is critical.
