About the role:
The project involves wxearable devices, such as stick-on patches, implanted recorders and smart clothing, which can now record heart rhythm (ECG) data allowing recording of cardiac responses to real-world physiological provocations. This opens up the ability for data science approaches, including machine learning techniques, to revolutionise the diagnosis and monitoring of cardiac disorders using these novel data sources.
What you would be doing:
The post holder will be involved in developing machine learning approaches to data to achieve deep learning of heart rhythm diagnoses. Our group also addresses related studies including haemodynamic optimisation of pacemakers and high-resolution outcome data analysis for clinical trials.

The post holder will work in a multi-disciplinary research group consisting of researchers with strong backgrounds in clinical cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology, inherited cardiac conditions, biomedical artificial intelligence and biomedical engineering.
This position is full-time, fixed-term for 12 months, starting November 2024.
