Westminster Law School is a large, vibrant and diverse community of legal scholarship, learning and practice located in central London.
As part of our commitment to innovative, authentic and immersive legal education, the School is looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Legal Education (CLE). The School has a proud and long-standing tradition of CLE, and is particularly committed to providing its students with opportunities to learn through legal practice. The award-winning Westminster Legal Advice Clinic works with numerous local and national organisations to afford opportunities to its undergraduate and postgraduate students to deliver legal services and assistance to the community in a wide range of fields.
In order to further develop these transformational opportunities for our students and to stay at the cutting-edge of practice-based learning, the School is looking to appoint a specialist academic colleague with a passion and expertise in this field to work alongside the Clinic Director and the broader academic and professional community to contribute to the pedagogical development of its clinical delivery and our research and knowledge exchange endeavours in this field.
The School particularly invites applications from candidates with a research or practice background in CLE, and who have a prominent or emerging voice in the CLE community more broadly. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with a deliverable vision for new and innovative models of CLE which offer meaningful opportunities to our large and diverse student population in a way which affords them transformational professional skills. The successful candidate will join the broader Law School as a full academic member and contribute to our broader research and teaching activities.
