The University of Southampton’s mission is to change the world for the better. As a world-leading, research-intensive university, with a strong and high-quality educational offering, it is renowned for its innovation and enterprise. We are a global Top-80 university (QS World University Rankings 2025), in the top-20 in the national league tables (2024) and have a strategic ambition to be recognised as a leading university for employability.

We have an immediate and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Student Opportunities Coordinator to join the Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise division, working within the Work Experience Team to encourage and support students undertaking work experience opportunities.

Your focus will be to encourage and support students to participate in our work experience programmes, in particular the Year in Employment, influencing student engagement across all target areas. If you have great customer relationship management skills, ability to work as part of a team, whilst also able to prioritise and manage own workload, we want to hear from you. Experience of design and delivery of marketing and communications are desirable and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel is essential.

Careers, Employability & Student Enterprise is a fast paced, progressive division, providing a range of support to help students build their career experience and make a successful transition into employment, self-employment or further study after graduation.
