About the role
Leicester Clinical Trials Unit is undergoing a period of expansion, with new job opportunities arising as a result of an increasing portfolio of trials. We work nationally and internationally with acclaimed investigators to deliver high quality, high impact clinical research. We are currently seeking self-motivated, degree-educated candidates to manage and oversee the delivery of complex multi-site clinical trials.
You will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of trials, including multi-centre randomised controlled trials, and the performance and line management of trial managers/coordinators. You will work independently but also part of the wider team, working closely with LCTU senior management, NHS clinical and academic staff. You will provide leadership and trial management expertise to maintain the smooth and effective running of the clinical trials and research studies in accordance with the study protocols, ethics and regulatory approvals, SOPs, GCP principles, EU Directives and UK legislation.
About you
The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of clinical research and trial management methodology in the UK setting. CTIMP experience will be particularly valuable. Alongside your expertise, you will have proven project management experience, enjoy working independently and have the ability to stay calm under pressure. You will be joining a busy, dynamic and successful team in a role that offers varied and exciting opportunities to engage with a wide range of individuals. This role will also provide you with the opportunity to make a significant contribution to research.
