Clinicians will contribute to the on-call rota
We are looking for an experienced equine clinician with a demonstrable focus on sports medicine to join our clinical team and take a leading role in the provision and development of the sports medicine service provided by our equine hospital and practice.
Your skills and attributes for success:
A Veterinary Degree registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as a practising member of the profession.
General equine sports medicine skills, with a particular focus on/interest in orthopaedics and diagnostic imaging.
Further specialist qualification, preferably ECVSMR/ACVSMR; however, ECVS/ACVS Diploma-holders with a demonstrable sports medicine interest are very much encouraged to apply. Interest in fulfilling the remit of a clinical academic working within a veterinary school setting (i.e., engagement with teaching, learning and assessment) Demonstrable commitment to develop their own, and contribute to the School’s clinical research output.
Full valid UK driving licence, as there is a requirement to travel to the hospital out of hours to respond to emergency situations when public transport is unavailable. (No more than 6 penalty points) Desirable (not essential): Higher degree (Masters /PhD) in a relevant discipline.
