About the role

Applications are invited for an Assistant Curator/Assistant Lecturer in Classical Archaeology. This is a full-time, fixed-term post for 21 months, working 37.5 hours per week.

About You

You will have a postgraduate degree in Classical Archaeology or a related field.

You will be able to deliver tutorial teaching to undergraduates in Greek and Roman Archaeology options on the Oxford syllabus (preference will be given to those able to teach Greek Art and Archaeology ca. 500-300 BC and/or Art in the Roman Empire Finals options).

You will have experience of work (including volunteering) in a museum or similar environment and/or experience of archaeological fieldwork, as well as a sound understanding of issues surrounding collections care, conservation and security.

You will also have some experience of university or museum outreach/public engagement.
