Qetech is expanding its quantum climate change team with two new positions. Prior knowledge of quantum computing is not required as the relevant training will be given

The Role:

The successful candidate will join a growing team of climate scientists, research software engineers, and data scientists at Qetech. This role focuses on bridging computer science and climate science by developing and testing large-scale and regional climate models. The Research Associate will also integrate innovative research on physical processes into these models.

Key Requirements:

  • A 2:1 or higher degree from a top university
  • Strong understanding of climate system processes
  • Ability to work independently
  • Programming proficiency desirable
  • Comfortable working in a team, you are able to communicate ideas and write code that can be understood by others and builds on the wider project.
  • Able to work independently and manage your time well

Desirable Skills:

  • A masters or PhD on climate change and related subjects.
  • The successful candidate will be compensated with a highly competitive salary and will join the company’s attractive share option and bonus scheme.
