You will contribute to undergraduate and masters level teaching on one or more of the following programmes; MRes Experimental Psychology with Data Science, MRes Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology, BSc Psychology, and BSc Cognitive Neuroscience & Psychology.
The Division of Psychology, Communication and Human Neuroscience is home to researchers exploring the neural and cognitive bases of brain function in health and disease in areas including action and movement, visual perception, memory, decision-making, face processing, language and many other areas of cognitive and clinical neuroscience. In addition to our expertise in exploring cognition and behaviour, we have strengths in neuroimaging and neurophysiological methods, including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), event-related electroencephalography (ERP-EEG), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) complemented by strengths in computational modelling, and structural MRI-informed neuropsychology. Within the Faculty and the Division, there exist very extensive research facilities and equipment. These include two 3T MR scanners, a pre-clinical MR scanner, a PET-MR scanner, extensive electroencephalography (EEG) facilities as well as MRI compatible EEG, TMS, and eye-tracker, a mock MR scanner suite, several eye-trackers, extensive testing cubicles and specialised laboratories (e.g., vision, memory, perception and action, and language laboratories). The Division is also home to a state-of-the-art Virtual Reality and motion capture laboratory. Our research focuses across the lifespan and the Division’s Child Study Centre/LuCiD group is home to Developmental Psychologists working on children’s conceptual understanding, curiosity-driven behaviours, socio-cognitive development, sociality and cooperation, reasoning, and language and communicative development. The Division also has strong research links with clinicians in Neurology, Neurosurgery and Mental Health.
