We are seeking to appoint a Senior Tutor within the Global Development Institute (based within the School of Environment, Education and Development) to contribute to GDI’s current masters teaching programmes within its Development Economics and Public Policy (DEPP) teaching cluster.
You will be expected to hold a PhD and/or equivalent professional experience in a relevant cognate area for the teaching of courses in quantitative research methods for development economics or similar related topics and experience in teaching statistical software (Stata).
You will contribute to postgraduate teaching in development economics, with particular emphasis on teaching of quantitative methods in economic development, as well as core development economics, development finance and public policy. Duties will include delivering lectures and/or tutorials, Stata lab sessions on (core and optional) courses, and supervising master dissertations in postgraduate programmes within the DEPP cluster.
You should have demonstrable experience of teaching and assessment, if possible within a postgraduate context with a diverse student cohort.
